Last updated: September 15, 2026. Hymn and Hue is a product of Well Made Decisions LLC ("we," "us"). By using the service, your church ("you") agrees to these terms.
1. The service and who may use it
Hymn & Hue is a hosted platform for running a church visual, literary, and musical arts ministry: collecting submissions, curating and approving them, publishing a gallery, generating identification cards, and keeping an archive.
The service is intended for adults. Church administrators must be 18 or older, and every artist attests that they are 18 or older at the time they submit. Hymn & Hue is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly permit submissions from anyone under 18.
2. Your content and ownership
Your Content is yours. The images, descriptions, audio, and other material submitted ("Your Content") belong to the artists who create it, and each artist retains the copyright to their own work. Your church retains rights to its own ministry records and to how it curates and presents the gallery, but it does not hold the copyright in an artist's submitted work. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display Your Content solely to provide the service to you. We do not sell Your Content, share it for advertising, or use it to train any model. You are responsible for having the right to submit any material, and for not submitting anything unlawful.
Use of displayed works. The works shown in a church gallery are published as an act of worship and as encouragement for the body. They are not offered to the public to use, duplicate, reproduce, modify, resell, or use for any commercial purpose without the artist's explicit permission. To make casual copying harder, gallery images are watermarked. Anyone who wishes to reproduce or license an image, a poem, or a song for a commercial purpose, including using a piece inside another work such as an illustration in a book, must contact the artist directly to obtain permission. Neither Hymn and Hue nor the artist's local congregation is the copyright holder of any submitted work. Copyright remains with the artist, and permission is the artist's alone to give.
3. Curation and control
Nothing becomes public until a church leader approves it. The church controls what is displayed, for how long, and what comes down. An artist may hide or permanently delete their own submissions, and an admin may hide or remove any submission in the church. Deletion is permanent.
4. Selling artwork
Pieces default to "not for sale." Whether artists may offer work for sale is a setting the church controls. When a piece is for sale, the artist transacts directly with the buyer off the platform. We are not a party to any sale, we do not process those payments, and we take no commission.
5. Billing
Plans are offered two ways: an annual plan (our best rate, shown as a per-month price and billed once a year) or month to month at a higher monthly rate. Annual plans are prepaid for the year. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each term at the then-current price unless you cancel before renewal. You authorize us to charge your payment method for each term, and you are responsible for any applicable taxes.
Upgrades and downgrades. When you move to a higher tier, the change takes effect immediately. We credit the unused portion of your current plan and apply it toward the new tier for the remainder of your term, so you pay only the prorated difference and your renewal date does not change. At renewal you pay the then-current price of your new tier. When you move to a lower tier, the change takes effect at your next renewal; you keep your current tier through the end of the term you have already paid for. Billing questions go to [email protected].
6. Refunds
Annual plans are generally non-refundable once the term has begun; canceling stops the next renewal rather than refunding the current term. Month-to-month plans can be canceled to stop the next monthly charge. If we discontinue the service or terminate your access for our convenience during a paid term, we will refund the unused portion of that term.
7. Data retention and hosting after non-payment
While your subscription is active, we keep and host your content so your gallery, cards, and archive remain available. If a payment lapses or you cancel, your account enters a 30-day grace period during which everything stays live and you can resubscribe with no loss. After that, we unpublish the public gallery but keep your archive available to download for a further 90 days so you can export it or resubscribe. That download window is limited on purpose, and these retention limits are enforced automatically. When the window closes, we permanently delete the church's content. We will make a reasonable effort to notify your admins first. You can request an export within that window at [email protected].
8. Acceptable use
Use the service lawfully and in keeping with its purpose. Do not submit material you do not have the right to share, or content that is unlawful. We may remove content or suspend access to protect the service or its users.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Well Made Decisions LLC from claims arising out of your use of the service, Your Content, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
11. Changes and termination
We may update these terms on notice, and we may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms or to protect the service. If we terminate your paid access for a violation, no refund is due.
